NYX Kick

I've been on a NYX kick for a while. I think its run its course, because I'm pretty sure I've bought all the things I've wanted to try; well, for the most part anyway. I still have an order from Cherry Culture that I made over a week ago. They haven't shipped it yet or sent me a confirmation email. I'm guessing its just taking a while because it was during the 50% off sale.

Then there was the NYX $1.20 anniversary sale disaster. To make a long story short, the NYX website was not prepared for thousands of shoppers bombarding the site, and the servers couldn't handle it. They never fixed it, either. Only a few people were able to check out. To make up for it, they've sent us personalized coupon codes for 50% off with free shipping. I used mine today. Sure, its not anywhere near 80-90% off, but its better than nothing. Lots of people are really bitter about the whole thing. I think they could have given us a much better discount to make up for it, but hey, I'm not the one in charge. I still love NYX.

Purple Smokey Eye

Awesome. Long time no post! :) I bought the NYX 112 Box of Eyeshadows. I am impressed thus far. This is my first look using this palette.

Sugar Skull Makeup

This was my first attempt at a sugar skull... its definitely not perfect but it was a trial run :) I used Kryolan clown foundation for the white, Ben Nye phantom character wheel for the black, and Kryolan UV Day Glow in UV Orange around the eyes. As for the design, it was an on the spot thing. I didn't plan it out or anything. The next one will be.

On a side note: NYX lovers, check out this new site called Beauty Joint (its in my sidebar). They sell NYX products at the lowest prices I've been able to find. I heard this information from xSparkage, and I immediately ordered some stuff from them. I am psyched.

NYX Round Lipstick

NYX Round lipsticks are great. I recommend them for their wide selection of shades at an affordable price. They are extremely creamy and moisturizing. The color payoff is great. The only thing I don't like about them is how easily they transfer off the lips. On their own, they don't last very long (depending on the shade), so I definitely recommend using a lip pencil and lip gloss with these.

My most favorite shades are definitely Eros and Black Cherry.

Lashes

I just received my order from Madame Madeline. Its a website that carries false eyelashes. This is the second time I've ordered from them. I really like this company for a few reasons: low prices, wide selection of styles, fast shipping, and regular coupon codes including one for a pair of free lashes.

So, here's my collection/haul. A few of these I've worn before. Elise doesn't put the product number anywhere on the box, so I had to look those up individually for you :)

First Post: Introduction!

Hello everyone! I've become a makeup and beauty junkie over the past year, and I find myself buying and trying new products on almost a weekly basis. Its become a hobby of mine and lately I've felt the need to share it with others. Facebook is not really the right place to do that, and I tried Makeup Alley, but they don't list a lot of the brands I use. I think this will be a lot better. I really just want to share swatches and reviews and things with other makeup lovers out there and anyone else who is interested.
